    The JRC is currently organising open competitions to recruit new scientific/technical staff in the following fields (click on each field to display detailed information on positions per Institute):

    * Chemistry, Biology and Health Sciences
    * Physics
    * Structural Mechanics
    * Quantitative Policy Analysis
    * Spatial Sciences
    * Environmental Sciences
    * Energy Sciences
    * Communication/Information Technology

    Successful candidates may eventually have the opportunity to work in one of the JRC’s seven institutes on the basis of a permanent contract as an AD6 or AD7 research administrator.

    ASTM Nanotechnology Committee Creates Subcommittee on Nano-Enabled Consumer Products. Policy on nanotechnology usage is a very grey area and our world is not built in mind that someday nanotechnology will be part of our everyday life. This very good step towards to examine and create standards according nano products.

    When any scientific and technological progress make huge steps in any daily product we use… the batteries are improving with very slow progress. This maybe change in the future through usage of nanotechnology and new discoveries in organic chemistry : check this link
